Every Green Bay Packers fan has faced this question at one point or another:
“Why the Packers?”
The fan then gives their reason for their apparent insanity. It could be the team’s tradition or it could be a family tradition or a Wisconsin birthright for those born in the Dairy State. Each fan has their own unique story as to how and why they became and still remain a Packers fan.
In rare circumstances, you may find yourself at a loss for words (because the Packers are so darn awesome) or you might have difficulty explaining your fandom to someone who prefers a much more visual medium.
If that’s the case here is WatchMojo.com’s Greatest Sports Franchises series on THE greatest sports franchise, the Green Bay Packers. It serves as a great “Packers 101” for anyone who knows little to nothing about the team’s history.
Those poor uneducated souls.

“lam-BO”? Seriously? Jeez, you’d think if they’re going to spend the time and money to do a video like this with a professional voiceover talent, they could at least tell her how to pronounce Lambeau. I mean, she even got Majkowski right. It’s not like it’s an obscure name; the name of the stadium is said on the air multiple times every home game telecast.
Other than that, great video. Proud to be a fan of the team with the greatest history in the game.
I cringed every time the narrator attempted to say Lambeau. Like nails on a chalkboard
At least she didn’t call it “Lambert Field” as our Secretary of State did.
So I wasn’t going crazy thinking I heard that. My apologies. Please send all ear doctor bills to Jersey Al
I live in England. I chose a team I knew nothing about in 1988, after seeing games for maybe four years on channel 4 in the UK, because I thought I would enjoy American Football more, if I supported a single team.
I knew nothing of the Packers history or uniqueness then, when I chose them as my team. At that time they had been awful for 20 years. One of my better choices, eh !!
