Week 15: Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 8-5 Dallas Cowboys 23-17
Both defenses are terrible but the Packers will have a tougher time with Romo and Dez Bryant than Dallas will with Flynn. Packers lose but it’ll be close.
“Jersey” Al Bracco 6-7 Green Bay Packers 34-31
The Packers will need to score in the thirties to beat the Cowboys. Fortunately, the Dallas defense has been the worse in the league this year. Matt Flynn just needs to be efficient and the defense needs two to create 2 big turnovers.
Adam Czech 9-4 Dallas Cowboys 34-16
The Packers are going to need to score at least 30 points to win this one. Yes, the Cowboys defense is bad, but the Packers only managed to put up 22 at home against a bad Falcons D last Sunday. The Cowboys speed on offense will be too much for the Packers defense at the Jerry Dome and Dallas wins this one going away as Aaron Rodgers collarbone continues healing on the sideline.
Marques Eversoll 8-5 Dallas Cowboys 27-24
Sean Lee isn’t quite as valuable to the Dallas defense as Aaron Rodgers is to the Green Bay offense, but both units are significantly downgraded without their star players. Because of the Cowboys’ porous defense, I think it’ll come down to the wire before Dallas wins a close one.
Thomas Hobbes 6-7 Green Bay Packers 20-17
This game mostly goes back to consistency; if the Cowboys haven’t fixed whatever it was that let the Bears dismantle them last week then the Packers have a shot if the offense can keep the game close. Hopefully last weeks win galvanizes the team and they can grind out another win.
Cory Jennerjohn 10-3 Green Bay Packers 24-20
The Packers defense has been an eyesore this season but the Cowboys D might actually trump them in ugliness. Many are scared with Matt Flynn starting again, but as long as the Packers own the time of possession and don’t allow Dez Bryant to have an All-Galaxy performance, Green Bay should win.
Jason Perone 8-5 Dallas Cowboys 27-14
The Packers return to a city where they have struggled to win for two decades, albeit at a new venue. I’d like to hope they can channel some of that 2011 Super Bowl magic but the Cowboys offense is too much. This would be a tough task even with Rodgers.
Chad Toporski 7-6 Dallas Cowboys 34-20
The Packers lost Charles Woodson and Donald Driver the last time they went to Dallas. This time they’re already without Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb, and the ending probably won’t be as cheerful. Both teams have a lot to play for, but home field will be a big advantage for the Cowboys.

  1. The Packers wouldn’t let Rodgers play against the Cowboys, Cowboys 34-17 season over. If Rodgers was allowed to play, Packers 34-24 and would have won the division

    1. A game like last week for Dallas either motivates you to crush your next opponent or throws you into a tailspin. I’m obviously hoping for the latter.

Packers win if they can control the clock and force Dallas TOs. Other than that? I don’t think they win a track meet, and I fear that’s what this game will be.

  2. As I mentioned in the periscope post yesterday, I’m taking the Packers on a late FG. Maybe even in OT. Pack 30 – 27. Jerry Jones throws a hissy fit on the sidelines on national TV.
Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since ’61

  3. I don’t care what anyone says, Vince Young was the Packers best option at QB out of all the guys they brought in. I said it then and I say it now, he’s the only guy that moved the offense. TT & MM are getting what they bargained for.

  4. I love this game! I am so happy that they won in Dallas and did it in this fashion. Matt Flynn better stay in Green Bay, the only place he play!

  5. Good call Al, your score was very close and calling out the D for 2 big turnovers was right on as thats what happened in the 4th quarter

  6. As a Packer fan of over half-a-century…this was clearly one of the top five Packers games I can recall…What a comeback!…After being listless and seeming to be left for dead at halftime, they came roaring back with one big play after another…Five stars for the second half!…and five consecutive TD’s!…Whatever happened with the Packers tentative defense in the first half…they came back aggressive and Shields and T. Williams interceptions were both outstanding! I truly Love the Packers!
