  1. Johnathon,

The Packers search for “Packer People”, you are right in the mold. Welcome to the Packers. Your message in this video is amazing, your character, your drive should inspire any young person from LA or frankly anywhere. Many times an athlete can have amazing ability but will lack the moral character. I don’t know you but hearing your message, seeing the conviction in your eyes, in your voice, we not only drafted an unbelievable athlete but a very high character person….what we call “Packer People”. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday’s. John

  2. I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 27 years now. I was born in Madison but grew up in Minneapolis loving the Packers, and hating the Vikings. Knowing first hand what So. Central Los Angeles is like and listening to to this well spoken young man tells me this kid’s got it. He’s never going to be satisfied with just making it. I watch UCLA football games and thought whoever gets this kid is going to have a weapon. If he goes to a creative coach, one that gets the ball in his hands in a variety of ways, he’ll really be something fun to watch. I’d rather have this kid than Monte Ball too. I think he brings more to the table than Ball and to team him with a back like Lacy, well this is just going to be fun! Congrats to Franklin and welcome to the Packer family!

  3. Watching the fluidity of your cuts is an element to your game that stands out the most to me. I know how much hard work goes into the success you have had and will have, and my hat is off to you man. Can’t wait to see you compete this year!

  4. Mayor Franklin, I wish Green Bay was in L.A. so that I can watch you play “live” like I used to at the Rose Bowl. Be that as it may, I hope to be able to watch you play as often as I can. I am extremely happy for you and I wish you nothing but success and blessings from above. I’ve never been a Packer fan but that’s about to change. I have to end by saying this: Your performance against usc at the Rose Bowl this past year was the most inspiring athletic performance I’ve ever seen a Bruin give. It was a thing of beauty and I hope your momentum carrys over into Green Bay and on to Lambo field! GO PACKERS AND GO BRUINS!!

    1. I saw that game Ralph and know exactly what you mean. The great thing about living in Los Angeles is we actually get to see the Packers pretty regular on Fox or CBS because L.A. doesn’t have a team. Combine that with the National Games, like Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and the Thanksgiving Games this season, I’d bet at least 11 games will be shown on T.V. this year. Go Pack Go! I’m with you on the Bruins, any team that had Pete Carroll as a coach is tainted for life!
