GAME PREDICTIONS Divisional Round: Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants | |||
---|---|---|---|
Name | Record To-Date | This Week’s Pick | Score Prediction |
Kris Burke | 14-2 | Green Bay Packers | 31-17 |
The Packers take the field with heavy hearts and put away the Giants. The character of the Green Bay locker room is very strong and they will use the words of some Giants along with the events of the week to remind everyone why they’re the best franchise in the league.

“Jersey” Al Bracco | 15-1 | Green Bay Packers | 34-24 |
As long as the Giants DL isn’t allowed to run roughshod, and I don’t think they will be, the Giants do not have enough to stop Aaron Rodgers and this offense. Not a rout, but a “comfy” win. | |||
Adam Czech | 14-2 | Green Bay Packers | 33-26 |
A healthy offensive line and a mobile Aaron Rodgers negates whatever pass rush the Giants bring on Sunday. And once Rodgers gets out of the pocket, there’s no way the Giants secondary can keep up with the Packers WRs. | |||
Thomas Hobbes | 15-1 | Green Bay Packers | 31-27 |
I wouldn’t be surprised if either team won; the Giants are capable of stretches of invincibility just as easily as stretches of futility. I think it all depends of the Packers O-line vs. the Giants D-line; if the healthy O-line can keep Rodgers clean, Packers will win, but not easily | |||
Zach Kruse | 12-4 | New York Giants | 34-31 |
The Giants’ new-found running game gives them a slight edge in the rematch. They can pound the ball at the Packers’ thin defensive line and control the clock. Also, one or two slip-ups from the Packers offensive line gives the Giants the big play or two they need on defense to complete the upset. | |||
Chad Toporski | 13-3 | Green Bay Packers | 31-27 |
If both teams go out and play their best football, then the Packers will win. The Giants can’t afford to make as many mistakes as the Packers, especially away from their home turf. I am as nervous as anyone about this game, but Green Bay wins this nine times out of ten. |

So glad that the guy with the worst record-to-date is the only one picking the Giants (Sorry Zach, 12-5, next week please)
I couldn’t agree more, Steve. 12-5 sounds a lot better than being right
Well said, Steve! Hahaha
The regular season is one thing, but none of the Jersey Al prognosticators better take the opponent from here on out. Or else!
Uh oh. I hope I didn’t lose a fan, Moji. Look at it this way: When the Packers win Sunday, you all can come and rub it my face. And that face will smile back 🙂
When there’s two teams playing in a huge game like this , who are extremely motivated and pumped up to the gills, it seems that the more physically gifted team has the edge. What worries me is our D. What D will show up? Will it be one that is physical against the run and can find a away to put some pressure on Manning or the one that has looked soft and confused most of the year?
Our O-line must play well, our D front 7 has to be physical and our secondary must avoid the big plays. This game will tell us a lot about this team. I’m not worried about about our offense, but the D is a big question mark. Can they step up and show us something other then what we have witnessed in the reg season?
What I do feel good about is that we have the best QB in the NFL and a great receiving core. We need to establish a little bit of a running game and we will be ok to take some pressure of our passing game.
Even though the Packer D has had some real bad times. They might just come out and play a great game Sunday. No one is giving the D much credit here and for good reason, but like the viqueen game at home, maybe the D will have a real chip on their shoulders come Sunday! Aaron and company should put up some real points too. Just hoping for the best. GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pack with a 50 spot….mark it down…..52-21
Zach, I hereby order you to drop your subscriptions to the NYT, The Daily News and the NY Post immediately. It’s for you own good, young man.
Krause, you are gutless ! I guess the Ginats are big and bad because they beat a Falcon team that never wins on the road and has a quarterback who is a fraud ! What have the Giants done befor that besides beating Romo twice and the Salsa boy Jet, dont forget that 3weeks ago this Giant team lost at home to the Redskins. The Packers have shown in the last 2 meeting that the Ginat defense does not match up with the Packer offense. The Falcons shot their mouths off last year and where did it get them?
Packers 30 – Giants 20
Actually, I would say it takes more guts to say what you believe when you know it will be extremely unpopular. Of course, I think Zach will be proven wrong, but I admire his conviction.
