Favre Retirement Ceremony: Packers to host Bears at Lambeau on Thanksgiving

Although the Packers 2015 Schedule will be announced along with the rest of the 31 teams at 7 PM Central tonight, as is the case each year certain key games leak out before-hand.

According to a report by Sports Illustrated attributed to Packers beat writer Rob Demovsky, the Packers will be playing host to the arch-rival  Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving night.

This game would represent the only Thanksgiving home game in Green Bay since 1923.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this will also be the game that the Packers retire the number of  Future Hall of Famer Brett Favre.   With the attention of a national TV audience, the game is surely bound to be a huge ratings winner for the NFL.

More key games will probably be disclosed prior to the official unveiling on NFL Network later tonight.

  1. Awesome. An easy win over the hapless and tasteless Burrs on Thursday night. Gives GB a nice 10 day mini bye after Thanksgiving. And you bring Brett back then to retire his number? Good for me.

  2. Works for me! Beats the heck out of another Turkey day debacle in Detroit.
Leave it to Goodell to figure out how to make the most money out of the situation. Thanks, Since ’61

  3. The plan is to be so far ahead at halftime that they will let favre play the second half.
