Week 6 Green Bay Packers vs. Miami Dolphins
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 4-1 Green Bay Packers 34-21
Aaron Rodgers is back is business and hopefully Eddie Lacy is back on track.  If the two keep putting together numbers like they did last week, the Packers have an offensive juggernaut that will be tough to stop. As for the defense, there’s optimism.  If they can build on the past two weeks and shut down Joe Philbin’s offense, those doubting the Green Bay defense will have to move forward in their seats a bit.
“Jersey” Al Bracco 4-1 Green Bay Packers 30-20
With Dolphins’ Pouncey and Moreno most likely coming back and the injuries on the Packers D-Line, expect the Dolphins to copy the Bears’ run-heavy approach against the Packers. Like that game, however, the Packers break the game open late and leave with a victory.
Adam Czech 4-1 Green Bay Packers 30-20
It’ll be hot and the Dolphins will try and wear the Packers down by running the ball against a bad defensive line weakened further by injuries. But Ryan Tannehill vs. the Packers secondary is a mismatch. A few second half picks from Tannehill turn this one into a Packers win.
Thomas Hobbes 3-2 Green Bay Packers 24-17
It’s really hard to predict since the Dolphins are an uncommon opponent but expect to see a more pass focused attack as the Dolphins are another team that excels against the run.  On defense, if the Packers can continue to put pressure the Dolphins offense won’t be able to keep up.
Chad Toporski 4-1 Green Bay Packers 27-24
I’m surprised more of a story hasn’t been made about the Packers meeting their old friend Daryn Colledge again. While the Dolphins like to pound the ball (and will probably do so often), they only have an average offensive line, especially at the guard positions. Green Bay’s defense might be weak up the middle, but that’s not where the Dolphins’ biggest strength is.
Jason Perone 3-2 Green Bay Packers 31-24
These NFC/AFC match ups are always interesting and anything can happen.  Miami comes in well-rested and getting a few key guys back this week.  They’ll try to establish the run and look to wear down the Packers defense in that South Beach heat & humidity.  Fortunately for the Packers, they also get their turns with the ball and the offense puts up more points in the end.
Jay Hodgson 5-0 Green Bay Packers 24-14
The Packers have shown they can generate turnovers on defense, and that will be the key to this game. The weather will be hot and humid, so I don’t predict the Packers scoring a lot of points on offense. But, I think they keep the Dolphins in check by turning the ball over a few times.
Cory Jennerjohn 5-0 Green Bay Packers 27-13
Miami’s defense is pretty good on paper. Cameron Wake and the rest of the front seven will give the Packers fits. But Ryan Tannehill is still an unproven commodity at quarterback, which is why the Dolphins are ranked 29th in total offense. An adequate pass rush by the Packers wins this game.
Andy Burch 3-2 Green Bay Packers 35-14
Once again, I don’t see a scenario where the Packers lose this game. The offense is clicking really well and once the Packers get ahead, the Dolphins will be forced to pass against one of the NFL’s top ranked pass defenses. I don’t see heat playing a very big role in this game.

  1. I am very worried about the heat and humidity in Miami. I fear that it could drain the energy from the team. I hope this doesn’t happen, but it is supposed to be 88F and 70% humidity. I hope they are ready the heat and the running game, and dominate the Dolphins

  2. I see 6 trips into the red zone for the Packers resulting in 34 points. Relatively healthy defense continues its strong play. Packers 34 – Fins 16. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since ’61
