Gilbert Brown Autographed Items PACKERS MEMORABILIA
Are you going to be in Green Bay for the game this weekend? Want to participate in what is becoming one of the largest and most prominent annual gatherings of Packers Fans?

If so, then make sure you check out Throwback Weekend III this weekend at the Green Bay Distillery.   To give you a little bit of a background, according to their website Throwback Weekend all started as one fan, Colleen Brenton of Pocket Doppler, planning to attend a game in Green Bay during the 2011 season.   What followed was incredible. More and more people were selecting the same game as their “Lambeau visit” for the year and Throwback Weekend was born.

A simple, small gathering blew up into a two-day event.  A tweet-up on Saturday followed by a tailgate on Sunday before the game were organized by Kyle Cousineau and a legend was born.  The name “Throwback Weekend” was coined by CheesheadTV’s Brian Carriveau who linked together the gathering along with the throwback uniforms the Packers wore against the Rams during the game.

Last year, Throwback Weekend II was moved to the Green Bay Distillery for both days to accommodate the larger crowds and that is where this year’s event will be held as well.

Sound like fun? It definitely is, and I speak as an attendee of (soon to be) all three Throwback Weekends.

If you’re not convinced, “The Grave Digger” and Super Bowl XXXI champion Gilbert Brown will be in attendance at the “tweet-up” Saturday night courtesy of Mayfield Sports Marketing where autographed items will be available for purchase. There will also be signed items from Leroy Butler, Eddie Lacy, Nick Perry, Jerron McMillian and more!

Don’t let the name “tweet-up” fool you.  You’re still invited even if you avoid Twitter with a ten-foot pole.  It’s a party to celebrate what brings all of us together regardless of age, race, gender or political views: the Green Bay Packers.

As I said, I’ll be there too.  Feel free to introduce yourself and if you have any “feedback” on ALLGBP.com, feel free to take it out on me.  Jersey Al is sending me a representative/scapegoat/whipping boy.

See you in Green Bay this weekend!

NOTE: There will be an opportunity for Throwback Weekend attendees to win an Eddie Lacy autographed helmet. One winner chosen at random – Good Luck!

Packers running back Eddie Lacy enjoyed his first career 100-yard rushing day against the Baltimore Ravens.
