Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson joins the club of Packers players appearing in commercials. In a spot for TravelWisconsin.com, Jordy stars in a clever takeoff of the Wizard of Oz. This, of course, makes a lot of sense taking into account his Kansas roots.
The commercial is very well done, although Jordy shouldn’t be thinking about quitting his day job.

Anyone getting John C Reilly vibes from Jordy’s delivery?
That was pretty awesome.
A star is born! He’s better than Brad Pitt!
“Once is not Enough”…Yes,Yes it is!
Couldn’t agree more. Once was more than enough for me. I thought it was completely corny.
Man, outside of Peyton, these athletes are pretty stiff in the acting dept. Notice how much better the actress is delivering her lines compared to Jordy(and Mrs. Jordy, for that matter). But overall, good production value and the message of Jordy not wanting to go home is pretty clever.
He wouldn’t want to play for the Chiefs anyway.
Alright my fellow Packer-backers, now for an old-time favorite, from YouTube:

copy, paste, and enjoy!!!
Like so many of the Packer faithful, I loves me some Jordy. On the field he’s some kind of special.
Doing TV ads, not so much. His acting chops brought back memories of #4 in There’s Something About Mary.
But there was something about the way he pulled it off that I couldn’t imagine anyone else on the team doing.
Wow! Wisc. picked the right man for the job!!! Go Jord, Go Pack
